What is Mindfulness?

Paying attention to our experience in a way that allows us to respond rather than react.

How Mindfulness Helps

Mindfulness creates space...

Replacing implusive reactions with thoughtful responses.

Mindfulness Teaches:

1. Attention

2. Emotional Regulation

3. Self Soothing

4. Resilience

Benefits of Mindfulness in Classrooms

We emphasize the development of Mind and Heart.

The Development of Mindfulness

The development of mindfulness, a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, emotions, sensations and surrounding environment.

The Development of Heartfulness

The intentional nurturing of positive mind states such as kindness, appreciation, and compassion.

What Mindfulness Isn't...

1. It isn't Religious

2. It isn't a discipline technique

3. It isn't absence of thought

Secular Mindfulness

Mindfulness is not religious.  We wish to state our unequivocal commitment to a thoroughly secular approach to mindfulness practice. We are steadfastly committed to integrating mindfulness in education in a way that neither advances nor inhibits the religious beliefs (or lack of beliefs) of educators or students.

We use the Mindful Schools curriculum to bring mindfulness to your classroom, organization, after-school program, or team.  We provide the necessary staff, support, and training to launch and maintain a successful mindfulness program for the children and teens in your care.

If you are in the Greater Los Angeles Area and are interested in bringing mindfulness to the children or teens in your school or organization please contact us at:
